Light Car Competition

My partner and I placed first out of about 30 teams in a competition held in the mechanical engineering department during my senior year. The task was to design and program a car that would follow a complex light track. Our car contained an Arduino microcontroller, servo motors, and two light detecting resistors. Once the cars were built and programmed, they were timed on the track and ranked based on finishing time and successful completion of the track challenges. With some last minute design modifications, an efficient code, and a little luck, our car finished first in both categories.
